What does 'cargo-worthy' actually mean?
Cargo-worthy (CW) means the container passes survey standards for international shipping: structurally sound frame, working doors, weatherproof seals, and a floor rated for cargo. It will have dents and surface rust — cosmetic, not structural.
How long will a used shipping container last?
A cargo-worthy unit placed on a level, drained surface routinely gives 15–25 more years of storage service. The two killers are standing water at the corners and unmaintained door gaskets — both preventable.
Are used container prices negotiable?
Prices track the port market and move week to week. What we can always do is quote you both a used and a one-trip price for the same size — and if a cheaper grade honestly fits your use, we'll say so.
Where Our Used Containers Come From
Provenance matters in this market, so here's ours plainly. Used containers enter the domestic market when shipping lines and leasing companies retire them from ocean service — typically after 8–15 years — and sell them through depot auctions and fleet disposals around major ports.
