Shipping Container Delivery Locations in New Jersey
30 towns, one pricing logic: the closer you are to Port Newark, the less your delivery costs. Find your town for local routes, drive times, and siting notes.
Every town below links to a dedicated local page with the details that actually matter for a container delivery: the real drive time and truck route from Port Newark, which streets take a 40ft and which need a 20ft on the smaller truck, local permit and zoning patterns, and what your neighbors typically order. Distances shown are road miles from the Port NewarkβElizabeth container market β the number that drives your delivery cost.
How to Use These Pages
Each page answers the four questions we'd otherwise cover on a first call: Can the truck reach my spot? (street patterns, run-up realities, wire and canopy notes for that specific town), What will it cost? (the drive time that sets your delivery fee), What does my town allow? (permit and zoning patterns β strict in Hoboken and Jersey City, relaxed in the industrial corridors), and What do people here actually order? β because a Secaucus fence-line row and a Maplewood renovation box are different purchases. Read your town's page, then use the price calculator or call 862-236-3503 with your ZIP code and the answers in hand.
Essex County
Essex is home turf β every delivery here is a short haul, and we know the wards street by street. Newark itself gets three dedicated pages: the port-adjacent Ironbound and industrial Down Neck, and the residential North Ward. Around the city, the dense two-family grids of Irvington, East Orange, and Orange run on 20ft driveway deliveries and rehab-contractor boxes β Orange's Valley district mill courtyards are a specialty of ours. The leafier north and west β Bloomfield, Belleville, and Maplewood β trade tight streets for tree canopy and hillside grades, which is a different delivery planning problem we solve from photos.
- Belleville (6 mi / 14 min)
- Bloomfield (7 mi / 16 min)
- Down Neck, Newark (3 mi / 10 min)
- East Orange (6 mi / 15 min)
- Ironbound, Newark (2 mi / 8 min)
- Irvington (5 mi / 14 min)
- Maplewood (8 mi / 18 min)
- North Ward, Newark (6 mi / 15 min)
- Orange (7 mi / 16 min)
Hudson County
Hudson is the county where local knowledge pays hardest. Jersey City is our biggest market outside Newark β construction-driven, permit-aware, reached by Truck 1&9 because the Pulaski Skyway bans trucks. Hoboken is the strictest permit town we serve and gets its own playbook. Bayonne runs on alley-pad drops and Route 440 industry, Kearny and Secaucus are meadowlands logistics country where 40ft rows along fence lines are routine, and tiny Harrison out-orders towns five times its size thanks to the stadium-district building boom.
Union County
Elizabeth sits against the marine terminal itself β four miles from our supply β and splits between port-side industry and Elmora driveways. The industrial spine continues south through Linden's Tremley Point and up the Route 22 corridor through Union and Hillside, which borders Newark directly and gets near-Newark delivery pricing. Rahway is the county's easiest residential delivery, and Plainfield's deep Victorian lots make it the rare town where rear-yard 20ft placement is the default rather than the exception.
Passaic County
Passaic County is where our tight-street methodology earns its keep. Paterson's Great Falls mill district takes 40-footers into freight-era courtyards while its residential wards demand scouted 20ft approaches β we keep entrance dimensions for the major mill complexes on file. Passaic is the single densest grid we deliver into, handled with a free four-photo scout before any truck rolls. Clifton spans both worlds: corporate business parks at Allwood, Botany's tight blocks, and suburbia in between.
Middlesex County
Middlesex is logistics country on the Turnpike's spine. Woodbridge's ten sections range from Avenel warehouse rows to Colonia driveways; Carteret's Arthur Kill distribution centers are among our largest multi-unit customers; Edison pairs Raritan Center β the East Coast's biggest industrial park β with value-hunting residential buyers who favor used units; and Perth Amboy's working waterfront orders salt-air-proof cargo-worthy boxes for marinas and marine contractors.
- Carteret (14 mi / 18 min)
- Edison (20 mi / 25 min)
- Perth Amboy (18 mi / 25 min)
- Woodbridge (15 mi / 20 min)
Mercer County
Mercer sits in a container supply gap β too far from both Port Newark and Philadelphia for casual delivery β so we bridge it with scheduled weekly runs that split the 55-mile haul across multiple drops. Trenton orders everything from rowhouse-district rehab boxes to institutional storage, and Ewing is the run's easy finish: suburban lots, campus-calendar demand surges, and buyers who hold containers long-term.
How Distance Shapes Your Delivered Price
Container pricing is box + trucking, and trucking is priced by the mile. That's why the same used 20ft costs less delivered to the Ironbound (2 miles out) than to Edison (20 miles), and why our Trenton and Ewing deliveries ride scheduled weekly runs that split the 55-mile haul across multiple drops. Wherever you are on this list, the quote works the same way: one written delivered price for your address β container, trucking, and placement included. Full details on the process are on our container delivery page.
